Explore distinct neighborhoods, browse the shops, and see key sights all in one day.

Canal tour - Located just across the Chao Phraya river is what once was the capitol of Siam - Thonburi. Still considered part of Bangkok, Thonburi is the peaceful, calm and cool side of the river. Basically it’s the complete opposite of the Bangkok skyline, we’re all used to seeing. There are no skyscrapers, no rooftop bars and definitely no hustle and bustle that we all expect from modern Bangkok. The traditional Thai way of living on the canal still exists here and you can still see the floating vendors, farms and homes as you cruise through the canal, making your way to the various sites.

By taking a longtail boat along the waterways, you will still be able to catch a few glimpses of the old Thai way of life.  Definitely, it is one of the best ways to experience the local culture, history, and of course, a fun way to spend some time in Thailand.

Hungry yet? Lets go!

Itinerary

Explore the city and experience local food.

Ratchada train market

I really love to go Ratchada there have plenty of food stalls, many tradition foods and lots of things to taste. If there is one reason why you must visit Rot Fai Market Ratchada, it has to be the mouthwatering array of food you get there. The bazaar has rows and rows of food stalls where cooking is done right in front of you.

Wang lang market

There’s such a good variety of both street food snacks, and sit down local places serving southern Thai food to sizzling oyster omelet restaurants crammed into tight alleys.Wang Lang Market is a full Bangkok eating paradise.

Or Tor Kor Market

One of Bangkok's best kept secrets due to its cleanliness, selection of high quality produce, and a jaw-dropping selection of ready-to-eat food, Or Tor Kor in my opinion it’s in a class of its own when it comes to quality.

Khao San Road

The center of the backpacking universe.
In addition to being great for adjusting to the culture and climate, Khao San Road is also a great place to ease yourself into the intense sensory experience that is Thai cuisine. Restaurants, snacks and stalls on wheels, great street food (pad thai, porpia, curries) you could even try some of the outrageous snacks there, such as fried bugs! A great place for shopping, music and drinks.

With your appetite fully satisfied return to your hotel.

Weekend Klong Latmayom Market & JJ Market

Tour (BK8)

This Tour

Khlong Lat Mayom is set along a decidedly quiet and narrow canal. Khlong Lat Mayom has a more authentic feel, a handful of vendors do prepare food on small boats that float in the narrow canal beside the market. Still, most of the vendors and several eating areas are on land.

The market spans a tightly packed but fairly large area with narrow footpaths winding past vendors sheltered by individual thatched roof huts. Although most of the prepared food is found near the canal in the main section, a quieter stretch of walkways meander into a shady orchard where locally grown produce and one-of-a-kind handicrafts are sold.

After having your fill of the fabulous local food, hop in a boat for a cruise around the canals. A small flat-bottom boat can take you around the immediate area or you can have a one hour longtail boat ride that explores the rural western reaches of Bangkok province.
